 　　1.ache指的是一种钝钝的、持续的疼痛：

I have a terrible ache in my leg.（我的腿痛得很。）

我们还用' ache'来表示情感上的疼痛，比如遗憾或悲伤：

I still feel a terrible ache in my heart when I think of him.（想起他，我心里仍然觉得很痛。）

2.pain指的是一种尖锐的、不舒服的感觉，通常是身体上的：

I have a pain in my leg.（我腿疼。）

3.agony是一种极端的、极大的痛，可以指身体上，也可以指精神上：

I was in agony for a whole week before my operation.' （我手术前整整一星期都痛苦不堪。）
