　　这组动词都有“旋转”、“转动”的意思。

　　rotate 指物体在自身的轴上或围绕自身的中心转动，如车轮、地球的转动。rotate 还可以表示“轮换”、“轮转”的意思

　　1) The wheel rotates on its axle.

　　(轮子绕着轴心转。)

　　2）Rotate the knob to full-closed and back to full-open to test for free rotation.

　　（旋转旋钮到全闭的位置,然后旋回到全开的位置,测试其自由转动。）

　　3) The nurses on the ward rotate their shifts.

　　revolve 指以他物的轴或点作为中心的旋转，或指有规律地围绕一定的轨迹作圆周转。

　　whirl 指旋涡式的回旋。

　　1) The wind whirled the leaves round the yard.
