miracle、wonder、marvel的区别

wonder 通常指使人惊奇的事迹、成就、奇景等，主要指人创造的奇迹。

1）The Great Wall is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

长城是世界七大奇迹之一。

2）Until man invested ways of staying underwater for more than a few minutes, the wonders

of the world below the sea were almost unknown.

直到人类能在水中呆较长的时间, 海底世界奇景才为人们所知。

3）It's a wonder that the child came through without a scratch.

这孩子竟能安然无恙地脱险，真是奇迹。

4）It is a world wonder to build a railway in the most frigid area of frozen soil with the highest

elevation and most fragile ecological environment

在世界上海拔最高,最高寒缺氧，生态最为脆弱的多年冻土带上建铁路，这是世界奇迹。

miracle 侧重指人力所办不到的，不可思议的奇异之事。

1）The doctor said that his recovery was a miracle.

医生说他的康复是个奇迹。

2）Transplant surgeons work miracles. They take organs from one body and integrate them into another.

器官移植医生创造奇迹，他们能从一个人的器官移植到另一个人的身体里。

3）The car ran over the man, but by a miracle, he was not hurt.

汽车从那个人身上压过去, 但他却没有受伤, 真是奇迹。

4）Miracles sometimes occur, but one has to work terribly for them.

奇迹有时候是会发生的，但是你得为之拼命的努力

marvel 侧重指令人感到惊奇、赞叹之事。可用作动词表示“惊叹”，常与介词at 连用。

1) The computer, the marvel of the machine age, has been in use since 1946.

计算机是机器时代的奇迹, 自1946年以来一直使用至今。

2）It is really a marvel that he remained alive after dropping from the roof of a ten-storied building.
